Our Mission Statement explains why this church exists. Everything we do is for one purpose:
To meet people where they are on their spiritual journeys and lead them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
We believe that a life that is fully devoted to following Jesus is the very best life possible:
It brings us into an eternal relationship with the God who created us and loves us.
It accomplishes the most good.
It provides the most joy and fulfillment.
It is a life characterized by generosity, love, gratitude, peace, and joy.
It is a life free of bitterness, resentment, jealousy, and arrogance.
We understand that to become fully devoted to Jesus is a process, which is why we talk about our lives as a “journey.” In other words, people aren’t there yet… and that’s ok. But we want to meet them where they are, and help them get to the very best life possible.
The way we do that is through our three Core Values—Reaching Up, Reaching Over, and Reaching Out.
Reaching Up describes our vertical relationship with God. We learn how to hear from God and respond to him in our weekly worship services, which inform, involve, and inspire. By relating God’s timeless message to our modern lives in relevant and practical ways, we learn what it means to follow him.
Reaching Over involves our horizontal relationship with each other at PCC. The Christian life is not just a solo affair, but requires us to be connected with other Christians who are on the journey with us. We need each other for support, encouragement, counsel, wisdom, and guidance, and we find those things by joining with each other in Life Groups.
Reaching Out concerns our outward mission to the world. PCC is serious about making a tangible difference in the lives of others in our community, and we encourage everyone to plug into a ministry that meets the needs of our world in a real way with the love of Jesus.
